TBT staff and wire reports

Andris Šķēle

A former Prime-Minister of Latvia and a founder of the People's party Andris Šķēle is, most likely, going to take charge of this party again, after the party congress on the 21st of November. Nevertheless, the experienced politician can make run for a Prime-Minister position, only after the Seim elections. Such a statement was made by the present head of People's party parliament's fraction Vents Armands Krauklis.

Krauklis mentioned that Šķēle had already been a head of the government twice, and was a great help to the country in the times of the crisis: first, in the middle of the 90-ties, and then in 1998. That is why, judging by Krauklises words, now Šķēle is ready to take control of the country, as his goal is tosave it, and not the party, which ratings are not very high at the moment.

The head of the parliament fraction, believes, that Šķēles come back can be explained by the fact, that the country is in a desperate need of the leader, who is versed in questions of economics.

Krauklis also added, that in his opinion, the society is ready to except Šķēle, as he is capable of giving giving specific advises about crisis overcoming.

“People are not in chattaring” - summarized Vents Armands Krauklis
