Some years ago the then-foreign minister of Estonia made headlines by asking “Who the f..ck are the Balts?†Later on he became the country’s president! This shocking phrase raised the real question, one of identity - are Estonians Baltic or Nordic?
In this context it is interesting to examine the female factor. For instance, Latvia has twice elected the same woman president. Lithuania has a woman as president now. Whither Estonia?
