STRONG STAND: The president has vetoed a controversial law on homosexuality following protests.
VILNIUS - Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus has vetoed the controversial “Law on the Protection of Minors against the Detrimental Effect of Public Information” following protests in Vilnius and Brussels The president vetoed the law on June 26, after it had passed through its second parliamentary reading a week before.
