RESPECTING DIFFERENCES

With reference to your letter "Some helpful advice" (TBT 656); as a frequent visitor to all the Baltic states I think that the letter was unfair. Of course things are different in the Baltic states. It is not Canada or the U.S., it's a group of countries with different peoples, ideology and culture. They do things differently and rightly so. To complain that you cannot get bacon and eggs and that the bread is different is daft. They have their own way of doing things based on a history of over 1,000 years. Their cuisine may not be to everyone's taste but neither is grits and steak for break...
