Estonian consumers most unhappy in Baltics

TALLINN's A recent poll suggests that Estonian consumers are more dissatisfiedwith the quality of goods and services they buy than other Baltic nations. Thepoll was conducted by the European Performance Satisfaction Index.

The survey shows that the consumer satisfaction index in Estonia was thelowest in the Baltics in 2008 standing at 65.1 points. In Lithuania the figurewas 69.5 points and in Latvia 74.9 points.

Results of the poll also show that consumer satisfaction levels in theBaltic states slipped to the lowest point in five years in 2008. In 2007, theEPSI reached 69.8 points in Estonia, 73.7 points in Latvia and 78.2 points inLithuania.

While consumer satisfaction has decreased in most of the 11 countriesincluded in the survey, Sweden, the Czech Republic and Russia were the onlyexceptions showing improved consumer satisfaction.
