iSALE: iPhones have become wildly popular in the Baltic states and are an indicator that the countries are quickly converging with the West in terms of mobile communications.
RIGA - Through Latvijas Mobilais Telefon (LMT), the biggest mobile network provider in Latvia, the internationally coveted Apple iPhone 3G is now legally available in Latvia – and has been for about two months.
This seemingly simple thing acts as evidence that Latvia as a nation and LMT as a company, are up to date with regards to introducing cutting edge cell phone technologies.
This places Latvia firmly among European Union countries and Russia – and well ahead of less developed count ...
