Tallinn still a party town?

It is perhaps sad that you devote a whole page (issue 627) to Tallinn as a party town when in fact the vast majority of foreign tour operators make sure their clients avoid the Old Town at the weekend so that they leave with positive impressions of Estonia. I brought four groups to Estonia this summer and deliberately spent each weekend in Tartu where students and tourists alike could be happy and sober, even though the drinks were half the price charged in Tallinn.

Young people can be very fickle in their taste and may easily desert Tallinn in the future. Older tourists are more loyal and are happy to spend serious money in museums, galleries and boutiques as well as in hotels and restaurants. Hopefully Tallinn can soon be sold to them again any day of the week and not just from Sunday to Thursday.
