SPLASH: Water parks are the main attraction in Latvia.
RIGA - Water parks may be a dime a dozen, but the Livu Akvaparks literally rises above the competition — it’s the biggest water park in Eastern and Northern Europe. It’s so big that astronauts use it for training. The team at Livu Akvaparks estimates that families spend 10 to 15 percent of their budget on entertainment and relaxation and deduced that the Latvian population had a need for a giant water park, because during much of the year, the natural waters are far too cold for swimming. ...
