VILNIUS- Three time European Champions, and a formidable opponent of Team USA, Lithuania's basketball team was upset last night as the USA overtook the court in a dominating final score of 12-84.

American Kobe Bryant played a tough game against nemesis from Lithuania Sarunas Jasikevicius who had in previous years been unbeatable. Bryant did not let Jasikevicius out of his sight and blanketed him throughout the game.

Lithuania team coach Ramunas Butautas was quoted by AFP as saying "We lost the game and we lost very badly but don't forget against whom we played."

"We played against the best team in the world, against the best players and the best coach. The American players were stronger and faster. We lost the game one-on-one and we lost the plays under the basket."

However, Team Lithuaniais no where near giving up. They are set to play Turkeyon August 2 and are opening the Olympic basketball games playing against 2004 Athens gold medalists Argentina.
