Concerts & Festivals - Nation catches Festival Fever

DANCE IS POWER: Folk dancers show what they can do at pre-concerts for the Latvian Song and Dance Festival 2008. It is estimated that one-fifth of the population will be attending the sold out performances.

The disappointingly chilly summer is about to warm up with the eighth annual Riga’s Ritmi Jazz Festival. Based on the successes of previous years, this year’s program promises to be even better, with bigger names and more audience participation.
