Jun 02, 2008
In cooperation with BNS

SIAULIAI- An official of the Siauliai city municipality, northern Lithuania, provided paid striptease services without a business certificate, the Siauliai county state tax inspector said after hiring the private dancer.

Acting on a tip-off, the tax inspectorate hired the striptease dancer to verify whether he was providing paid services without registration of individual activities or a business certificate.

The tax inspectors determined that the official had not registered his services and now faces a fine of 500-1,000 litas (EUR 145-290).

The Siauliai tax inspector stressed that all income even received from the striptease had to be declared.
