FORESTRY: Lithuanians know their trees

TIMBER ANYONE: Wood is as important an industry as ever in Lithuania.
VILNIUS - Environmental activists have long been fighting a struggle against deforestation all around the world. At the same time, business needs to operate in order to keep people employed and produce money. The forestry industry and the milling and paper industry represent a significant portion of the money brought into Lithuania. The question is whether the industry is sustainable.
