Riga without water

RIGA- For the last few days, residents of Riga's center and outlying areas have noticed a significant decrease in water pressure. Today however, residents were greeted to no water at all. Several schools have shut down and many restaurants were unable to open.

"Rigas Udens" (Riga Waterworks), hopes to give the city back its water soon, but due to water main repair water supply will be suspended in Jugla and Vecmilgravis areas today.

Tourists were surprised to see how casually residnets treated the matter. "We were informed today that we wouldnt be able to use our toilets or take a shower today, as if this were a weekly normal occurance" said a tourist from Finland staying in the center.
 
The University has yet to whether or not to cancel evening classes.
Riga Waterworks warns residents that when the water comes back on it might not be suitable for consumption or for washing, but the matter is expected to clear up.
