Police link Latvian crime in Lithuania

RIGA (BNS) – Nikolay Lebedev, charged with murdering a Daugavpils police officer, is suspected of having committed other crimes as well, including the murder of the state prosecutor in Panevezys, Lithuania, Latvian police said.Aloizs Blonskis, Latvia's criminal police chief, said suspicions arose after Daugavpils police apprehended Lebedev after he shot and killed Sgt.
