Prices for food are growing throughout the world. The underlying causes are manifold 's higher demand, poor harvest, a weak dollar, commodities speculation 's but what is unique is that they have occurred simultaneously. As a result, inflation has also become a global phenomenon, and consumers are jittery. Italians already organized demonstrations and symbolic strikes over the soaring cost of their beloved pasta. Recently many Latvians held a "milk strike" to protest the soaring cost of dairy products. In poorer countries such as the Baltic states, higher food prices take a bigger chuck...
