Reval to open new hotel in downtown Riga

RIGA - A new Reval hotel 's the Reval Hotel Elizabete 's will open in downtown Riga next spring, a top Reval Hotels Latvia executive has said.
Kari Hiltunen said that so far more than 30 million euros have been invested in the new hotel.
Floor space will amount to 13,000 square meters, and the facility will offer 228 rooms, two conference halls, a restaurant, a lobby bar, a fitness center and underground parking lot, he said.

The new hotel was designed by Nams architect Maris Malahovskis, and the interior is the work of world-acknowledged designers. Reval Hotel Elizabete plans to employ about 100 people.
Hiltunen said that the new hotel would strengthen Reval Hotels' position in Latvia and the Baltics as the largest hotel operator, as it will offer more than 2,000 rooms after the new hotel's completion.
"Expansion of our hotel network will offer our customers additional options in the city. It will also strengthen Reval Hotels' position as the market leader in Latvia and the Baltic states," said Hiltunen.
Norwegian real estate company Linstow AS last January signed an agreement with Latvian construction company Skonto Buve on building the four-star hotel in Riga.

Reval Hotels chain is owned by Linstow AS, whose shareholder, Anders Wilhemsen Group, is also the owner of the world's largest cruise ship operator 's  Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
Reval is the largest hotel chain in the Baltics, operating six hotels 's two in Riga, three in Tallinn and one in Vilnius.
