LONDON 's A report into cinema admissions patterns across Scandinavia and the Baltic States shows a healthy rise in audience figures and revenues, reports entertainment industry journal Variety.

London-based Dodona Research says that while Denmark and Norway are predicted to record the strongest figures of all in coming years, the Baltic States are seeing audience numbers rise, too, largely as a result of the spread of large-scale multiplex cinema complexes. Lithuania reportedly recorded a remarkable 98 percent increase in admissions during 2006 as a result of the multiplex boom.
