DARREN HANLON AT JUUKSUR

Bohemians and students of Tallinn rejoice 's Juuksur bar is reopening! The cozy basement bar in Old Town has developed a reputation as a cheap and funky hang-out with a great live music roster. After closing down for the summer, Juuksur (it means hairdresser) will reopen on Saturday Aug. 4,with a concert by Australian folk singer Darren Hanlon. Tickets are 75 kroons (4.8 euros). Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the concert will finish by 11:00 p.m.

SIGULDA 800

A huge celebration of Sigulda's 800th anniversary will take place in the historical centers of Sigulda, Turaida and Krimulda. The three-day unity festival celebrates all generations of people and nations, nature, traditions and heritage. There will be special programs focusing on children and youth, nature tourism and cooking heritage, as well as concerts, demonstrations, sports games and other activities.

NIDA'S CULTURAL WEEK

The "Neringa Summer Extravaganza 2007" teaches visitors about the cultural changes that took place in western Lithuania during the 20th century. Its film evenings, lectures and exhibitions will be held in the Thomas Mann and Ethnographic museums in Nida.
