RIGA - As part of Latvia's presidency of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art is launching a photo competition entitled 'Where the Baltic Sea and People Meet', for young photographers between 18 and 30 years of age from all eleven countries of the Baltic Sea Region.
The best works will be included in a travelling photo exhibition that will visit all eleven capital cities of the Baltic Sea Region states next year.
The photo exhibition is being organized as part of project 'Balticness', a year-long travelling series of events to promote public awareness of regional co-operation and to highlight the Baltic Sea as the life artery of the region.
