TALLINN - No matter what part of the globe you’re standing on, the terms “biotechnology” and “biomedicine” invariably conjure up notions of something high-tech and cutting edge, something bordering on science fiction. They might also summon notions of possible cancer cures, vaccines and lifestyle drugs, and along with them, big money.
