Central Europe Review (http://www.ce-review.org), a Web site that covers Baltic states and issues, has just been awarded the NetMedia 2000 Award for Outstanding Contribution to Online Journalism in Europe.

After only one year in publication, the online news and analysis Web site received accolades from colleagues in journalism across Europe at the annual NetMedia conference in London.

Central Europe Review is centering on Baltic issues during the week beginning July 10. The site is a weekly Internet journal of Central and East European politics, society and culture, published by Central Europe Review Ltd. and produced with support from the Central and East European New Media Initiative. After just twelve months of operation, Central Europe Review has become the leading journal on the region with over 10,000 individual readers weekly. The journal currently has over 60 regular contributors and staff in over 24 countries around the world, all keeping Central Europe Review the premier thought-provoking journal on Central and East European affairs.
