Germany's E.ON Ruhrgas International rebuked Lithuania's government for controversial natural gas legislation that parliament passed despite the Cabinet's reservations. In a letter to the government, the German company, which owns over one-third of Lietuvos Dujos (Lithuanian Gas), expressed doubts whether the law complied with the gas directive of the European Parliament and the Council. E.ON Ruhrgas also said the law would lead to financial losses for Lietuvos Dujos and risked jeopardizing future investments in infrastructure. The company demanded that the legislation be amended as soon as possible.

Armin Karu, majority owner of the Olympic Entertainment Group, announced he was planning to create, together with his son, a chain of self-service carwash stops in Estonia. "We've noticed that in good weather it is relatively complicated to get a car clean quickly," Erik Karu told the weekly Eesti Ekspress. It has not yet been decided where the first carwash will be opened, but Karu said that father and son were looking for properties in strategically good locations. One carwash system costs more than 85,000 euros, he said. "The plan is to create a well-known trademark and reliable carwash chain," he said. The owners of the Laserwash Group are Armin Karu, his son Erik Karu and business partner Tarvo Loitmaa.
