Tartu's IT firms ponder going global

TARTU - By most accounts, the IT sector in Tartu is bustling. There are around 10 large IT employers in Estonia's second largest city, and there are dozens of unsung start-ups competing to be "the next Skype" 's i.e. the next big technology success story to come out of Estonia.One of the firms most frequently touted as worthy of "the next Skype" moniker is Playtech, a UK and Israeli-owned online gaming company that employs nearly 300 IT specialists in Tartu alone.
