Lithuanian parliament ended its fall session

VILNIUS 's Lithuanian parliament ended its extended fall session on Thursday [Jan. 18].
If an extraordinary session is not called, parliamentarians will gather for the plenary meeting on March10.
Under the Constitution and Seimas Statute, the parliament holds two - fall and spring - sessions. The fall session starts on Sept. 10 and ends on Dec. 23. The spring session is opened on March 10 and is closed on June 30.
The Constitution and the Seimas Statute provide for the possibility to convene extraordinary sessions and extend general sessions.
