LA SYLPHIDE
Jan. 25 - 19:00
"La Sylphide" is one of the world's best-known ballets. Originally composed in 1832, the most popular version of it remains that by the Danish choreographer August Bournonville in 1836. Extravagant and sensual, "La Sylphide" is also responsible for the white tutus and tiptoing around stage for which ballet is now universally recognised. This is the perfect way to beat the winter gloom , if only for a couple of glorious hours. The performance will be held at the Estonian National Opera.

LATVIA
NO COMMENTS
Peteris Sidars' exibition"No Comments" will be showing at Riga Gallery through Feb. 10. The exhibits are installations made using a sticky technique involving hot glue. There's irony, there's the grotesque, and lest we forget, there's art. "No Comments" is a delightfully original and playful exhibition that will stick with you for some time.
