Estonian unions to support medics’ strike
TALLINN - Estonian trade unions that have joined a strike pact decided today that they support fully a strike of medical workers set to begin on Jan. 17 and do not rule out expansion of the action to other sectors of the economy. The medics’ strike has the full support of the unions that are parties to the strike pact, the chairman of the Transport and Road Workers’ Trade Union, Peep Peterson, told BNS.
When the strike starts on Jan. 17 the unions are going to express support to medics both in the street and in their places of work, Peterson added. However, it is not quite clear at this point what form the support will take.
