Duma ratifies pension protocol

MOSCOW - The Russian Duma's lower house of Parliament on Wednesday ratified a protocol to the Estonian-Russian agreement on pensions.
The intergovernmental agreement was signed in 1993 and the protocol in November 2002.
The protocol specifies the regulations for calculating the size of pensions and the terms during which formalities must be completed in case a person changes his place of residence.
The Russian government informed the Duma that fulfilling the protocol will cost 2.92 million roubles (84,400 euros) annually and the expenditure has already been reserved in the federal budget and the budget of the pension fund.
