Lithuania’s new ambassador to Sweden hands credentials to Swedish King

VILNIUS - Lithuanian Ambassador Remigijus Motuzas on Nov. 9 handed credentials to Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf in Stockholm.
The king said he was glad about good relations between Sweden and Lithuania and recalled his visits to Lithuania, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry reported.
Motuzas gave him greetings and an invitation from Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus to visit Lithuania again.
Environmental issues of concern to both countries were discussed during the conversation.
Before leaving for Sweden, Motuzas worked as science and education minister.
