Adamkus to visit Switzerland

VILNIUS - President Valdas Adamkus will pay an official visit to Switzerland Nov. 7-8. The president will tour the city of Bern and meet with the president of the Swiss Confederation, Moritz Leuenberger, and Foreign Minister Micheline Calmy-Rey.
The leaders are expected to address bilateral relations, European Union matters, the United Nations reforms and issues of the Middle East.
On the second day of his visit, Adamkus will attend the opening of the Lithuanian Honorary Consulate at Lugano's financial and banking center, where he will meet with businessmen from Switzerland, Italy and Luxembourg.
