VILNIUS - Society was shocked after learning that a second-grader stabbed three classmates with a knife and also threatened teachers.
The incident was mentioned in Parliament after Science and Education Minister Roma Zakaitiene received a number of questions about the outbreak of violence.
According to the minister, problematic children can't be "written off", but if they pose a threat to their classmates, they should be taught separately.
On Oct. 18, a 9-year-old schoolchild injured three schoolchildren and threatened the principal and teachers with a knife. The father of one of the injured children eventually calmed the boy down.
