Georgian defense reps visit Latvia

A group of representatives from the Georgian Defense Ministry and the National Defense Academy are scheduled to arrive in Latvia for a two-day experience sharing visit, the Latvian Defense Ministry reported on Oct. 18. The purpose of the visit is to get familiar with the structure, programs and curriculum of the Latvian National Defense Academy. During the visit, the Georgian representatives are expected to meet with Latvian Defense Ministry's officials, visit the training management and command of the Latvian National Armed Forces, as well as the the academy's languages and communications schools. The experience sharing visit was initiated by Georgia. Georgia is in the process of reforming its armed forces.
