RIGA - The Latvian Food and Veterinary Service is checking several suspicious envelopes sent to the Bank of Latvia on Monday and Tuesday.
All three envelopes were mailed from the same address in Japan.
The envelopes contained plastic boxes with vials, as well as seal-like objects.
After receiving the postal consignments, the central bank's security officers called the State Fire and Rescue Service, whose workers took the strange envelopes away from the premises.
