Latvian National Armed Forces Commander Juris Maklakovs' personal Opel car was hit by a cargo train on a railway crossing in Riga at one a.m. on Oct. 3, army spokesman Normunds Stafeckis told BNS.
National Police spokesman Aigars Berzins told BNS it was unclear who was responsible for the accident.
