I read Mike Johnson's letter (TBT #520), about motoring and police inactivity with some degree of elation 's thank goodness somebody else is as irate as I am. Having lived and worked most of my life in the U.K. and becoming well and truly indoctrinated by police and local authorities there, trying to get through a day without committing some kind of traffic violation one can only shake ones head in exasperation at the antics of the Riga motoring fraternity.
