The Center Party has asked four other parliamentary parties to postpone a roundtable discussion on selecting a final presidential candidate scheduled for Aug. 3.
Ain Seppik, the party's faction chairman, said the party was not ready to make a final decision as to whom it will support. The final two candidates selected by the five-party panel are Toomas Hendrik Ilves, an MEP, and deputy parliamentary speaker, Ene Ergma.
The Center Party is also holding talks with the People's Union, which openly supports current president Arnold Ruutel.
