Estonia's People's Union said it would support Arnold Ruutel as the presidential candidate in the next congress.
"The council's opinion was that the board made the right proposal last week, and since the president too has given his consent (to the nomination), we're going to recommend that the congress put forward Ruutel's name as the party's presidential candidate," party leader Villu Reiljan said.
