According to the Austrian newspaper Neue Karntner Tageszeitung, Estonian Prime Minister Andrus Ansip is the sixth-lowest paid prime minister in the EU, making a mere 4,000 euros a month.
Still, as Inga Jagomagi, government spokeswoman, told BNS, his salary was six times the national average wage. Twenty percent was added as compensation.
Only the Polish, Maltese, Latvian, Slovakian and Lithuanian prime ministers are paid less.
