TALLINN - The body of a 16-year old Estonian school boy missing since last week was found with stab and slash wounds in a forest not far from his home.
The boy disappeared from the small town of Parnu-Jaagupi in Estonia's southwest on May 21.
A police spokesman said concern was raised when he failed to return home. A search was mounted on Monday. His body was discovered during a larger search operation on May 26.
"The body was found at 11:15 a.m. in a forest near the Tallinn-Parnu-Ikla highway, about 20 meters from the road. The place is situated not far from the boy's home," a police spokesman said.
Police said the attacker hadn't made any attempt to hide the body, and initial observations didn't indicate a robbery.
