In 2005, nine parties exceeded the legal limit for election campaign funds, with Latvia's First Party (LPP) leading the list.
LPP last year spent 51,800 lats (73,705 Euros) more than the maximum limit of 141,960 lats, said the Corruption Prevention and Combatting Bureau.
Latvia's Green Party spent 17,000 lats more than the limit. Regional party Latgale's Light (Latgales Gaisma) spent 13,000 lats over the limit.
