KUMU ART MUSEUM

On Feb. 18, Kumu Art Museum will open its doors. Kumu is the new home of the Art Museum of Estonia - a modern multifunctional building that contains four floors of exhibition halls, a lecture hall and an educational center for younger art lovers. According to Marika Valk, the General Director of the Art Museum of Estonia it will be the first time that Estonia has something to which the words "an internationally high level in the culture of art" can be applied.

TROPICAL MONTH IN RIGA ZOO

If you feel tired of cold winter weather and are yearning for spring, well you can enjoy a taste of the hot tropics until Feb. 28 at the Riga Zoo. The month is divided into three parts: turtle week, amphibian week and a night animal week. Visitors will have a chance to get acquainted with a wide range of tropical species and see how they adopt to different spaces and conditions.
