Official: Bird flu not cause of Klaipeda death

KLAIPEDA/VILNIUS 's Bird flu has been ruled out as a possible cause in the death of an Indian citizen Monday in Klaipeda.

Klaipeda Public Health Center Director Rimantas Pilipavicius told BNS that the cause of death was still undetermined.

Shaikh Rafikque, 62, a cook on the Liberian freighter Ocean Wind which was docked in Klaipeda, became ill on Saturday, when he complained of chest and arm aches. Rafikque died in an ambulance two days later.
