RIGA - The government backed a Defense Ministry proposal to grant 15,800 lats (22,500 euros) for publishing a book on Latvia's history in the 20th century in French.
The book was written by Latvian historians Inesis Feldmanis, Antonijs Zunda, Ilgvars Butulis, Aivars Stranga and Daina Bleiere and published by the Latvian company Jumava.
An English translation of the book will also be published for foreign politicians, historians and anyone interested in the subject.
