The Mushroom Festival is a traditional event in the Varena district of Lithuania. This, the only mushroom festival in Europe, takes place every year on the last Saturday in September (Sept. 24).
The festival consists of 2 parts: a mushroom picking championship in the surrounding forests and the festival that takes place in Dzukai. Learn to weave, make candles, clay pots and wooden spoons and buy local arts and crafts, mushrooms and berries.
