By TBT staff

VILNIUS - Panevezys law enforcement officials have detained five men suspected of trafficking women to Great Britain.

Officials from the Panevezys prosecutor's office reported that five Panevezys residents were apprehended in early June. A court has sanctioned their arrest for one to two months in prison. The names of the suspects are withheld. The detained persons had earlier been tried for various crimes, according to officials, and are suspected of human trafficking, appropriation and exerting influence on the aggrieved party.
