MOSCOW - The Russian Foreign Ministry expressed hope that Estonia's Parliament would ratify the border treaties with Russia, although it emphasized that Moscow would not accept "unacceptable wording."

The statement, published on the ministry's website, said that Russia agreed to the treaties on the condition that Estonia would ratify documents that abided to Moscow's legal and political formulas.

"As for voting on the border treaties in Parliament, we hope that common sense prevails in the end and that Parliament will ratify these agreements in a version that is acceptable to both countries without complicating ratification by the Russian Federal Assembly," the statement says.
