Lithuania's parliament on Thursday rejected a draft resolution proposed by opposition conservatives on listing the former Lithuanian Communist Party as a criminal organisation and perpetrator of the genocide of the country's residents.
Proposed by right-wing parties, the draft was supported by 37 parliamentarians, 24 were against, and 33 abstained. The votes in support came from the opposition conservatives and Liberals, as well as a few members of the Mixed Group, while the others were against or abstained.
