Lithuanian formin off to Egypt to discuss bilateral links, Middle East situation

VILNIUS - Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius is on Tuesday leaving for Cairo to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry. 

Linkevicius is also scheduled to meet with other high-ranking officials, the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said.  

Issues to be discussed during the visit include possibilities for more intensive bilateral cooperation, enhancing of the legal cooperation base, and the development of and potential for economic relations.

Lithuanian and Egyptian officials will also exchange views on the overall political and security situation in the Middle East.

Shoukry last paid a visit to Vilnius in August 2017.
