Lithuanian anti-alcohol activists call for restrictions on alcohol sales

Tuesday March 1, 2016, saw a group of Lithuanian activists present the Central Electoral Commission with their initiative to collect signatures for the adoption of amendments to the law on alcohol control. The initiative also calls for restrictions on alcohol sale and advertisement. CEC chairman, Zenonas Vaigauskas, met with the group's representative, Juozas Dapsauskas, who submitted a request to register the group and receive forms for collecting signatures.
