Lithuania's new PM Ingrida Simonyte unveils Cabinet candidates, six of 13 are women

Lithuania’s next prime minister Ingrida Simonyte, representing the conservative Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian De-mocrats (HU-LCD), announced on November 18 the names of ministerial candidates whom she would like to see in her cabinet. She presented the list to President Gitanas Nauseda who now has to decide whether to approve the candidates. The president has not made his decision on the nomination of the proposed candidates by November 23. The presented list covers 13 out of 14 ministries, as the candidate for the minister of agriculture has yet to be negotiated, Simonyte said....
