VILNIUS – The central Bank of Lithuania will issue another 2-euro commemorative coin "Together with Ukraine" in support of Ukraine in the middle of March.

It will enter circulation on March 16 and pre-distribution will be available for pre-order from March 9.

A total of 500,000 coins will be minted, the central bank said on Tuesday.

The majority of the proceeds from coins in numismatic packaging will go to help Ukraine as it continues to resist the Russian invasion. 10 euros from every coin purchase for 14.52 euros will go to Ukraine. The collected money will be transferred to the National Bank of Ukraine's account for the collection of humanitarian aid.

The commemorative coins will be legal tender in all euro area countries.

The coin was designed by Lithuanian Egle Zemaite and Belgian Lucas Luycx.

Last December, the Bank of Lithuanian also issued a 10-euro silver collector coin to support Ukraine. The bank then collected more than 346,000 euros for humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
